More About the Designer

Swiss-born and Brussels-based, Joanne Guiraud is a jewellery designer and goldsmith whose work blends artistry, sensuality, and storytelling. With a background in art direction and visual communication, she honed her creative eye working in London with leading art, fashion, and design publications before discovering her true passion: jewellery design.

After earning her Master’s degree at the Royal College of Art, Joanne launched JG STUDIO in 2020. Her creations have been featured in international magazines including ID, Marie Claire, and Vanity Fair, and worn by renowned artists. She has also been a finalist in prestigious design competitions across Europe and shares her expertise as a consultant and guest speaker in the world of jewellery and design.

Joanne sculpts jewellery that flows with the body, exploring intimacy, sensuality, and self-expression. Her modular collections are designed directly on the body, with pieces that transform—necklaces become body adornments, rings become ear cuffs—embracing versatility and sustainability.

Each piece is handmade in recycled sterling silver, vermeil, or solid gold, often set with ethically sourced stones or meaningful heirloom gems, merging artistry with personal history. With JG STUDIO, Joanne creates more than jewellery: she transforms precious materials into sculptural objects that flow with the body, designed to empower, adorn, and accompany every moment of life, as unique and expressive as the person wearing them.

sustainibility & ethics

Joanne Guiraud stands for fair conditions and transparency in every step of her production process. Sustainability is at the heart of both her design and the creation of her jewellery and packaging.

Each prototype is designed and crafted by Joanne herself, with final pieces primarily produced in her Brussels studio using recycled sterling silver. Believing that sustainability goes beyond materials, she creates timeless, transformable designs that allow your jewellery to evolve over time, remaining both personal and relevant throughout your life.

Collections are produced locally in Belgium or across Europe, either in close collaboration with carefully selected artisans who enjoy fair pay and excellent working conditions, or directly in her studio.

As much as possible, all packaging and printed materials are recycled, sourced locally, and created in collaboration with trusted manufacturers in europe.

Joanne continually reflects on and improves her practices, striving to make every step of her process as sustainable and responsible as possible—from design to delivery, ensuring that beauty and ethics go hand in hand.
